Washi Tape + Winnie & Walter

When I go through my challenge list every few days, I copy the images to a Word document, then print it off so I can have it on my craft desk. This is how the pile of undone challenges happens, where I eventually toss the bottom few inches of paper to free up the slop-over onto my paper trimmer. I have a small desk.

Sometimes the challenges I choose to play are right next to each other on the page, like this:

On the left are the world's pretties colors for the current Colour Me ...! challenge, and on the right I could see WASHI TAPE being used on the diagonal of the Freshly Made Sketches sketch. I went through my vast collection of washi tapes and made two cards. First, the one with these colors:

I used tapes from three different MME washi stacks, and now I have only 34,635 miles of washi tape left. Every few inches counts towards that end, though.

For the circle element, I actually used circles, but only as a backdrop for my new-to-me Winnie & Walter dies. I opened and used them for the first time. so proud  The love and you dies come from two different sets, so of course I needed them both. I think it's both a cruel and a diabolically clever marketing ploy. I cut them out of a remnant of black, and twice out of white so I could stack them.

The second card I made used the same sketch, but a different color combination, this time for the current Color Throw-down challenge:

and here's that card:

Same process as above, just with different tapes and a different die-cut sentiment.

In other news, we got a few more inches of snow last night, so I need to go out and shovel again, though the wind is blowing it all around, so maybe I'll nap first and shovel later. heh heh

Thanks for stopping by!

Stuff I used: Washi tape (Love My Tapes Mint; MME stacks in Pink & Orange, Green & Navy, Red & Turquoise, Blue & Yellow, and Coral & Aqua; and the following:

  3. Leslie, This was a great idea to see and use the Washi tape. I don't that nearly as much as you, but I do need to get to using some of it real soon. I think I may case your cards today because I really like them a lot. Have a nice evening.

  19. How many more miles of washi left? I don't even want to think it... I can say my current crop of washi bores me. I need more move rolls around so I can look at something new I think. I really like this card design. It was made for washi. Don't let them tell you otherwise!
