Wait a Minute - It's Stopped Raining!

As I approach The Clean Sweep this week, I am trying to actually make up four projects for my workshops. I made this one last month:

.. then in true Crooked Stamper fashion, I realized I do not have enough of that paper for all of my customers to use. (At least I realized this before next weekend.) THEN I thought of a way to incorporate even more ideas into one card! So I changed it up to this:

I got smart and used the paper from my Demo Bulk Buy so I will have enough for everyone. Then, I used the new SU glimmer paint and a dauber, applied it to one of the ornament stamps and stamped it on Real Red card stock, then used the same Ornament punch to punch both it and a piece of the very cool flocked paper SU has this year. The gold cord is the new elastic gold cord. It was fun trying to to tie those bows! Hey, if I cannot offer at least one challenge per workshop, what's the point, right? :-)

Here's a close-up of the glimmer paint ornament. It was really easy to do, and it dried really fast, too. Gotta love that!

Okay, that's one project out of four. I need to get crackin'!

In other news, I think it finally stopped raining. Is there any water anywhere else in the world today, because is sure seems like it's been raining for about 2 weeks, now. I was thinking earlier today, "Wait a minute! It's stopped raining!" Then BR #2 called me to tell me she saw blue sky! Then later I broke into song in my head ... I was singing the line from Allan Sherman's "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah" that goes, "Wait a minute, it's stopped raining ...". I know most of you have never heard of Allan Sherman, so I went in search of him singing this classic song. I found some lame versions of the song, but not the original, so you'll just have to trust me that it's a good song.

But I DID find Allan Sherman with Dean Martin and Vic Damone singing some Allan Sherman songs back in 1965. Allan Sherman was known for doing parodies of popular songs. They are funnier if you or your parents grew up in the 30s and 40s and spent any time in the Catskills, with all those camps and resorts. Oh, the history of all that.

ANYway, here is the video. It is black & white because in 1965, that's pretty much what we all had. (ETA: Oh, maybe it is in color, but we WATCHED it in B&W.) And, even better, it is LIVE, which is why I loved TV back then. These guys crack me up.

That's all for today. I've got more cards to make! Thanks for stopping by!
