Card Patterns Sketch #72 (do-over)

I called for a do-over, and I did it. Earlier today I posted this version of a card that, well, had I been thinking clearly, I would not have posted. It is not even close to being blog-worthy. Sure, I could delete it, but it hits people's Readers pretty fast, and I hate it find it frustrating (it breaks my stride) when I click on a post to comment and it doesn't exist any more. So I'm not going to delete it. I'll leave it there as a dire warning for others.

So I remade the card. Here's the posted sketch:

... and here's my card:

... and I like this version a lot* better! I schmooshed the squares together so they are a little straighter, I added a sentiment to the image frame, I used a different ribbon, and I used a die-cut button under the bow.

Recipe: Stamps - Just Believe; Ink - Early Espresso, Poppy Parade and Wild Wasabi markers; Card stock - Very Vanilla, Peach Parfait, So Saffron, Sunny Garden DSP; Other - Pumpkin Pie Taffeta ribbon, Buttons #5 Sizzlit die, 1" square punch.

Oh, yeah, I like this one a lot* better!

Okay, NOW I'm going to go cut card stock for my Stamp Camps and get all the stations set up. Once I'm done, I get to play some more. Or maybe I'll clean the bathroom. Pththt, like that option will win.

Thanks for stopping by!

* Not to be confused with an alot, which is described here, and may be one of the funniest things I've ever read, on one of the funniest blogs in the whole Blogosphere.

  1. You know, I just cleaned out my desk and found a thick sheaf of Christmas cards. Yours is so special, it really stood out. I'm still loving it. It's getting a frame now so I can put it up.

the sentiment... is that a punch I'm missing, or did you just trim, and trim again? or use nesties? I'm sure I saw the same friggin shape in the new SS mag & I love, but would like a punch to do the work for me ;)
