Quick Notes

Some of my best ideas come from my customers, both in my Stamp Camps and at the farmers markets. When I was still doing my Friday markets, one of the organizers asked me if I ever made and really simple note card sets. Like a single image with no thank you sentiment... nothing else.

TOO. EASY, which is probably why *I* didn't think of it. So a few months ago I made a few sets, she bought one or two, and since then, other customers have bought more. Now when I look at a stamp set, I see it differently. I can single out a stamp I can use as a stand-alone image on small note cards.

This past weekend someone asked me if I had a Celtic knot stamp. OF COURSE I do, so tonight I made these:

And no, I'm not trying to get artsy-fartsy with the angle - it's the only way I could get the darn thing in focus.

This is a TAC (The Angel Company) stamp from one of my "I will never, ever, EVER sell this" stamp set collection. I think I've only ever used the Claddagh image, and then only a few times. I just knew if I held on to it long enough I'd use it again. (Yes, another $10 purchase made 5 years ago has been justified!)

The customer and I discussed "green" at length, and I hope Wild Wasabi is close enough for her. Here it is on some long-ago retired, yet hoarded, Raised-Edge Vanilla note cards:

It's a little trickier with the raised edge, because I need to get close to the center, but still pretty simple to manage, even for me.

There you have it - 15 cards in 10 minutes. So if you have some plain note card stock laying around and some neglected and unloved stamps, give this idea a try! They'd make great teacher gifts or stocking stuffers. Yes, I am already planning my Holiday projects. Sigh.

I have 30 city cards calling my name to be colored before the weekend. Their wish is my command. :)
