Moxie Fab Offset Scallop Challenge

Just to show you I haven't been a TOTAL slug this long (for me) weekend, I stamped something! This is for the Moxie Fab World Challenge: Offset Scallop Gallop. (Say that fast, three times.) We're supposed to be inspired by all the fabby offset scallop examples and go forth and make one of our own.

Luckily, for me, I've done one of these on my own in the past based on a shirt someone was wearing and was game enough to let me take a pic. Since I was too lazy to look up that post before I started stamping yesterday, I did it from memory, and since this is a new card, I do believe it qualifies me for this challenge. If not, pththt, it was fun anyway. ;)

Here she is:

I used the SU Petal Power Pick A Petal stamp set with Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery & Basic Black, and punched them out with the Large Oval punch. The sentiment is from the Filled with Love set in the Holiday Mini. This is all SU except for the punched shape for the sentiment - that's an EK Success punch I just had to have.

The tiny, crooked flowers next to the sentiment are from my collection of hoarded SU rub-ons, and not only are they crooked, they are not even the same image. Way to go. Grrrr.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a few more hours of slovenliness to focus on before I need to think about dinner and returning to work tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. So GORGEOUS!! I love this card! Love that the scallops are a slightly different, nontraditional shape. Love the soft colors, the black satin ribbon, and the textured bottom half. Just stunning.

  2. Ah, Leslie! Every time I need a chuckle I should just come straight here to your blog! I'm readin' along and it's amusing enough and interesting enough, but then I get to "not only are they crooked, but they're not even the same image" and (MY FAVE!) "Way to go.Grr" I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you are a cheerleader for yourself even in the mishaps (tongue in cheek or for reals - I don't care) and aren't afraid to SHARE the not-so-good along with the good! Your authenticity and your amusing writing style are why I come back here daily - thanks!

  4. I like this - paired with that sentiment, all the petal scallops look like faceless heads to me. You should put a face on one of them randomly!

I love this color combo and the ribbon you used. And that is a fun punch shape for the sentiment. Thanks for sharing!
