Two CAS Kitties

I'm getting rid of some office furniture and I'm doing some serious purging. While cleaning out some binders of photos of all the cards I've made in forever, I found one with some Cat's Pajamas stamps I've been wanting to ink up again. The current Less Is More challenge is to make a CAS card with your favorite critter, and so I did. In fact, I made two.

Here's the first one, using the Cat's Pajamas stamps:

Again with the bad lighting. I'm still working on it.

The background is stamped with the Hero Arts Envelope Liner background. I wanted a subtle image, though, so I played with it until I got it light enough. I started off inking it and dabbing off sections with a paper towel, but the parts that were left were still too dark. I ended up covering it (I use my background stamps face-up on my desk) with a piece of computer paper and rubbing it lightly, not being too careful about even pressure, and this is what came out.

I colored the eyes, nose and collar with my gelly pens, and drew some lines with a Derwent Inktense pencil to ground him.

I liked it, so I made another one:

This time I used Paper Smooches stamps from the Nine Lives set.  I colored this guy with Derwent Inktense pencils.

Even though I was itchy to add stuff, I did not. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go make a loaded card. :)

Thanks for stopping by!
