ABNH: Favorites

For the month of December over at A Blog Named Hero we're posting our favorites from 2013. I have more than one favorite post from my fellow DT gals - it was so difficult to choose! - but I closed my eyes and picked one, and I selected Christine Drogt's dauber post. I chose this one mostly because I wanted to try it myself. :)

Christine showed us two different techniques: one with glossy paper and one with emboss resist. I only tried the emboss resist, and here's what came out:

I used the Hero Arts Fly Away Newsprint background stamp and embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder on white card stock. I then splatted it with three Ranger Distress stains. They splat very well. :) I layered that onto some Hero Hues Sea layering papers, then onto a white card base. The sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die, and I cut it out of some Bazzill textured black card stock.

I'm kinda happy with how that turned out. :)

Be sure to stop by ABNH this month to see what else we've singled out as a favorite. And thanks for reading both my blog and ABNH. We couldn't do this without you!
