Here's another card for the same two challenges as my last one:
I thought the colors in this piece of Basic Grey PB&J paper were close enough to the Nacho Average Challenge colors:
Well, maybe except for the green, but there is green in there, sorta, maybe.
And then there's the Dahlhouse Designs Wanna Sketch:
where I didn't do anything different at the top. Okay, I started with both of these challenges and morphed them a little bit.
Let's look at that card again:
I looove that horizontal strip of paper over the busy floral paper. Also please notice the funky blue brads in the centers of the flowers. I have eleventy bazillion brads, and not one navy blue. Not. One. I was going to color them with either a Sharpie or some embossing powder, but that sounded like work, and I usually wear most of it when I try that, so I went with this pleasant shade of blue. The sentiment was stamped in Navy, though.
I'm off to link these babies. I'll be back later with a few more challenge cards.
Thanks for stopping by!
Stuff I used: miscellaneous brads, and the following:
I love your take on the sketch and that horizontal strip is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! I love all of those blue flowers! Thanks for joining us at Nacho Average Challenges again!
ReplyDeleteGot a billion brads, but a navy ain't one! I feel your pain. How is it we can have so many of one thing, but it still isn't the right one. Geez. I love how you balanced out the busy paper with the simple strip of paper for those flowers to just pop out. I love that you were inspired twice by wanna sketch, that makes me giddy!!!
ReplyDeleteThose white flowers really pop off the solid strip. I think that blue of the brads is in that pp somewhere! No navy brads here either.
ReplyDeleteGreat card! I love the papers you used and the blue brads totally work!
ReplyDeleteI love that paper!!! So fun!
