For my next challenge card, I made this:
following the current Crazy 4 Challenges sketch:
Recognize that paper? Yep, some remnants of my MAMBI papers. They are still not all gone.
I wanted a color behind the white panel, so I opened my new-to-me 6x6 pad of Scrumptious (that's its name!) papers from Chickaniddy. I chose a really busy floral piece I knew I'd probably not use by itself, and took advantage of all the color for my layer. It coordinates with the MAMBI colors, yet doesn't have to match perfectly.
The sentiment was a freebie I got with one of my massive Lawn Fawn orders -- that Kelly Marie is a real sweetie! I stamped it in Memento Luxe black and embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I thought the card still needed something, so I added some black bling to the horizontal piece and called it finished.
I might be a little happy that I'm using what remains of that MAMBI paper. Some day it will ALL be gone! :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Stuff I used: Freebie Lawn Fawn sentiment, MAMBI remnants, misc black bling, and the following:
Oh my goodness these colors are fabulous! I seriously love that sketch . . hmm I might have to play along too!
ReplyDeleteI like this card. It makes me think of something I've seen made with stamps instead of layers of paper.
