This card started with the current Less Is More challenge to use little critters. I then took the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch:
and here, finally, is my card:
First I layered up the papers and blew the whole Less Is More thing, but that didn't stop me.
The Bokeh/dotted paper is supposed to be snow, but really, I just love the color of the paper. When I stamped the swirly music and the sentiment (love that font!), it turned out wider than the panel, but I declared that to be ART and went with it.
I stamped the row of robins on a separate piece of paper, colored them, then fussy-cut them, leaving a narrow strip with which to attach them to the sentiment strip. It's not the cleanest solution, but I was NOT going to fussy-cut those feet. There's a piece of foam tape behind each robin to they're popped up.
I bought this set to use the big birds, so I hope to get to that later this weekend. Stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by!
Those little birds are adorable! And I love your mix of dsp patterns and colors. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
ReplyDeleteWell these robins rocked this card for sure! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteAll the little birdies on Jaybird Street love to hear the robin go tweet, tweet, tweet!
ReplyDeleteThose robins are jamin' on that card.
Those little birds are rockin'. I dont blame you for not fussy cutting the feet.
ReplyDeleteLove it, my feet were tapping as I read. Great cutting too...I detest fussy cutting.
ReplyDeleteThis is just adorable, Leslie! Love those little birds and your flip of the sketch! Glad you joined us this week at FMS!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Your card is so cool. You rocked it with your robins when you turned that design around. That was just what that needed.
