SOS #188: TP or Not TP

It's Tuesday, so it's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash. This week's title is a cryptic TP or Not TP, and we are really talking about Toilet Paper. We'd like you to either use the pattern from your toilet paper or paper towel to inspire your card -OR- use TP or a paper towel as a tool to make your card -OR- use TP or paper toweling ON your card. Got that? :)

Here's my card, then I'll explain:

I've made a card like this with the same stamp before, so it's not a totally new idea, but the card design is. I followed last week's Splitcoast sketch challenge:

Blurry, sorry.

I cut the patterned paper from my Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine paper pack, cut a rectangle out of white card stock, then got to work on the TP part. I stamped the TP image onto a piece of real TP and fussy-cut it. Many, many times. Because I'm an idiot. One time it was just about perfect, when I took a wet wipe to clean the glue off my fingers, and I put it down ON THE STILL-DRYING TP! See? Idiot.

In the end, I stamped the image onto a piece of white card stock, cut it out, covered it with matte Multi Medium, and stuck on the piece of fussy-cut TP and set it aside to dry.

The last time I used this image, I made the sentiment with my Dymo labeler. This time, however, I opted to stamp it using my Lawn Fawn Milo's ABCs set. I love that the set has multiples of many of the letters, so you can spell out a few words and stamp it all at once. Also, the letters are the perfect size and just butt right up against each other for perfect spacing. (Ha, I said butt.)

So, go check out your TP or paper toweling, look at the pattern and be inspired by it, or use it on a project. Then come over to Shopping Our Stash and play along!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stuff I used: Unity Crappy Day stamp, TP, and the following:

  4. You are on a roll with your TP card! I like that you can butt the letters up against each other in that alphabet. It is so annoying when they don't work that way. Fun card and fun challenge!!! Go TP!
