So long, and good night!

Hi everyone - this is Alex Hanna, Leslie's son. I'm sure by now you have all heard the news. If not, I want to apologize for sharing it in this way.  Yesterday afternoon (Dec. 25), our mother passed away. It was far more sudden than any of us expected. Her family is here, and we are so very grateful for all the support and love over the years.

As you all know, she placed an incredible value on her friends. You are all among her best friends, and for that, I want to share my thanks. She will be missed.

  10. Thank you, Alex. I met your mom through blogging, but was also fortunate to only live an hour from her when she was still in MD. We met from time to time at a local stamp store, but she also came to my home on several occasions. She has been a very good friend to me. We sold our cards together at a local coffee shop too here in VA. I really missed her when she moved to Ohio, but I was really glad she was able to spend time with her dad before he passed away. I treasure all the cards she has sent me over the years...now more than ever. She often spoke of you and your brother; she loved you both so much and was a very proud mom. You are a dear to post on her blog. Leslie was a dear friend to many and she will be missed greatly.

  12. Hi Alex. So very sorry for your loss. Thank you for posting here and thinking of her blogging friends during such a difficult time for you and your family. I met your mom on Twitter, and we DM'd regularly about crafting and grammatical errors we spotted everywhere. I purchased several batches of her de-stashing through our Facebook group (I was her best customer she would say). Just received a Christmas card from her last week which I will treasure forever. She was kind, talented, generous, and wonderfully witty. She will be missed so much. Our thoughts are with you, your family, & Bobra.

  24. Leslie was one of my very first stampy friends on Twitter. She always made me laugh with her quick wit and snarky humor. She was one of the few people who was never afraid to give it to me straight and tell me to buck up or shut up! LOL!! I loved her for that. My heart, prayers, and deepest condolences go out to you (her family) and the rest of us whose lives she touched. Godspeed, Leslie. ♥

  58. Your mom made these last 25 months some of the funniest and creative months of my life! I was very, very, ill for a very long time and she would send little funny e-mails, loaded with snark, and intended to help me fight my way back. She helped me find the silver lining in the cloud when all I could really see was the cloud over the silver lining. I miss her!
