SOS #72 - Tic-Tac-Toe

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another Shopping Our Stash challenge. This week we ask you to play Tic-Tac-Toe. You need to select a row, column or diagonal, and use all three elements on your creation.

Here is the grid:

I chose the middle column of Kraft, Ribbon and Sentiment, and here's my card:

This whole card was based off that strip of blue bricks. We less-particular people so ROCK over all you "I must clean up right away" types, if only for raw inspiration. Just sayin'.

About that strip of bricks... There is some new Lawn Fawn goodness in the house, and I broke out that stamp a few weeks ago to play with it. One of my tweeps, Chari, went a bit too far and paper-pieced the bricks on this card.  I knew right away that would never happen here. I did, however, color them. I stamped the image with Ranger Distress Black Soot, then clear-embossed it. Then I used some Copics to color the bricks. Then it sat on my desk.

So when I saw the poor blue bricks languishing on my desk, then I saw the Kraft option for this challenge, I immediately put the strip up next to a piece of Kraft and I LIKED it!!! The rest was easy: black ribbon and black sentiment. The black washi was extra, because I could, and because the sentiment looked funny just hanging there.

Now it's YOUR turn. Check out the Tic-Tac-Toe grid, check out your stash, find a good fit, make a card, then link us up at Shopping Our Stash so we can see what you've made!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I like the bricks and the washi. I must not covet them though. No, I mustn't. Not at all.

  3. It's not a mess, it's my inspiration arrangement!

It worked out really well for this card, I gotta say that. Those bricks are gorgeous and they do look great with Kraft.

  4. Accidental juxtaposition is where I get easily 75% of my ideas ;) I hate cleaning up for that exact reason!
Love how this turned out - the blue really pops on the kraft!
