She Believed

I've FINALLY gotten to the challenges I planned to do this weekend. First one done is for CAS(E) This Sketch!:

I had originally planned to use washi tape for the image element, but I still have my Hero Arts Calico Borders stamp set out from another card I was working on, so I made this instead:

I colored the butterflies with Copics, and added antennae with a Multiliner pen. I added teeny tiny black dots to the butterflies with my Sakura black glaze pen. Feel free to embiggen the photo so you can see them.

These stamps are really long, and the sentiment didn't fit on the 4" width, so I cut it. I did. It's now in two pieces. I suppose I could have masked it, but that sounded like work, and honestly? I'll use it more with this configuration, so it's all good.

The jury is still out on those black pearls, but it needed something, and I couldn't decide which color to use, and all of them would have been too much, and I don't like playing favorites (or making decisions, for that matter) so I went with black.

Rounded corners, badda bing, badda boom, some dimensional adhesive, and done!

I'm going back in for more. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. This card looks so cute with all those colorful hearts lined up in a row! I love the detail you added, and the sentiment looks better split into 2 lines! Good thinking! *wink*
