The Older We Get ...

There's a new challenge on the block: Seize The Birthday, and their first challenge is a sketch:

I'M IN! Who doesn't need birthday cards? We are supposed to use the sketch to make a feminine birthday card. Pffth, easy; I see this as another excuse to use some of the remaining (gah) pink in my stash.

Here's my card, then I'll explain:

My Color Vibe papers are still out on my desk, so I used two patterns from the pack, with the pink one more prominent. To "girl" it up a bit I added a white MFT Sentimental Flourish, and finished it off with some My Mind's Eye Enamel Dots that exactly match the striped paper. It was meant to be.

I originally wanted to add a fancy bow or bling or ... something, but ... you know, I might need to start selling off some of my ribbon collection since I don't use it much any more. The purge continues. :)

In other news, it's 4:30 pm here and I'm still in my jammies. I've packed up cards for OWH, packed up stamps and punches that have sold from my For Sale page, and consumed bacon.  I consider this a banner day.

Thanks for stopping by!
