Mass Production, Part 47

Remember when I said I'd sworn off mass production? Remember how I said I'd never, ever, do it again? I lied. I'm suffering from crafty over-stimulation with all the challenges for World Card Making Day, and can't seem to focus. So I decided to cut up the remnants from my Kaiser Craft Chapter One paper pack, plus a few full pages, and created a bunch of rectangles. Then I disappeared a good portion of my black scraps by making layers for all of them. I ended up with this:

Ooooh, look. That washi tape on the left might go with some of these papers.  Hmmm ...

Oh, sorry. See? Totally distracted.  I paired up the rectangles two by two, and put them all on white card bases. Then I stamped a bunch of sentiments using the Simon Says Stamp Sayings with Banner. I did about half of the sentiments with the die-cut banner and half without. I actually like the ones without better. I also think I did some of the banners upside down, so please get past that and just admire the lovely paper pairings, okay?

Let's get started! Here's the first sampling:

In real life, that black on the right-most paper is shiny. It's very pretty.  The sentiment on the left card is flat and the one on the right is the banner. (As if you couldn't tell.)

Next up:

I love that floral paper. It goes with all the blues and greens in the pack. So matchy-matchy.

Next:

Same floral paper, but this time paired with one of the greens. Love it!

Next:

For this sentiment, I used Ranger Archival Black instead of Memento black, because the ink is wetter and gives better coverage for this mostly solid stamp. It stamped completely each time.

Next:

I had a lot of that black patterned paper, so I paired it with a blue and a green. I also couldn't decide which one I wanted on top, so I didn't decide -- I did one of each. :)

Here's the blue version:

The blue papers actually have an embossed design, and are very pretty.

Next:

More blue plus black. And another with the Thanks:

So 18 cards in an afternoon, and now I need to soak my back. I'll be sending these to OWH, as I know they need general cards in addition to the holiday cards everyone seems to be making. I've already sent off my holiday cards, so I'm good with making the other stuff.

AND, I've disappeared a ton of pretty paper! Whoot! Just remind me not to do this all at once next time. Thanks.

And thanks for stopping by!

  1. OK, I like that layout as well. Crisp and clean. I'm all about the cards I can build while killing time. I could totally do that while running the school store. :) (It's either make cards, make jewelry or knit scarves.)

  9. 18?? That makes me tired just thinking about it. I love the cards, the papers go well together and OWH will be happy to have them.
