Happy Birthday

I found yet another new challenge blog (I KNOW! I may never sleep again!); this one is for Avery Elle. It's called AEIHeartU, and their first challenge is Birthday:


I dug out and dusted off some of my OMG, I NEED THIS Avery Elle stamp sets, and I made this:




I followed the colors in the current CAS Colours & Sketches challenge:



although I used darker versions of the colors, and my card isn't CAS, but still, I used them, sorta. Hey, at least I used three colors together that I normally wouldn't use, so that's a good thing. :)

I like that I'm using some of my collection by playing these challenges (hoarding is such a negative term, don't you agree?) I'm off to play some more!

    I have a friend who thinks "hoarder" is the worst word ever... she's not even a crafter. Go figure! I love your card. I also feel compelled to tell you that I've never heard of Avery Elle before and now I've run into two blogs this evening doing her new challenge. I'm not sure what this means, but I'm sure it means something.

    A card with stuff I actually have! And stuff I haven't' used, either! I had to have that set and it has not seen even one drop of ink. I like those colors together - thanks for the inspiration. Maybe I will break it out and use it now.

    Hi Leslie! Well, this qualifies as CAS in my book because it has only a few simple layers, no fussy embellishments, and a good amount of white space. And your colors are definitely close enough to count for our color challenge. So yay for you! :) Thanks for sharing your card at CAS - Colours and Sketches. I hope you'll join us again soon for another challenge (after all, I understand you want to use some of your supplies... ;) )

    Hahaha! You crack me up - I'm pretty sure that 98% of my unused stamp stash was the result of "Oh my gosh, gotta have that!" Good for you for dusting yours off and using them!! And with an amazing result, I might add!! Love the bright colors, and super fun design - you really should dust these off more often because you rocked them!!
