You're The Bomb

I'm baaack! I guess I needed a few days to recharge, since it's been four days since I took a photo of a card. Wow.

Today I combined two challenges to make this:

I started with the current CAS-ual Friday's challenge:

and got my color inspiration from the current Just Add Ink challenge:

Being an occasional over-achiever, I did both the top row and right column of the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, combining chevrons (on the bomb), black, sequins, embossing, and twine.

Here's my card again since I've blathered past the fold:

I opened my had-to-have-but-not-yet-used CAS-ual Friday's Ka-Boom stamp set and stamped both the bomb and the sentiment in Memento Luxe ink, then clear-embossed them. I twisted three colors of twine to anchor the images. The coral layer of card stock is from A*Muse Studio (Burano) that I purchased a few years ago.

Also from the stash are the star sequins. I thought they'd be good extensions from the 'sploding bomb.

Yes, there is a lot of white space here, and yes, I'm a bit twitchy. But I did walk away and leave it like this, so there's hope for me yet!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stuff I used: Misc star sequins (I bought them from someone else and don't know the source), Divine Twine in green and purple, A*Muse Studio Burano card stock, vat of clear embossing powder I got eons ago from Viva Las Vegas Stamps, and the following:

  1. Leslie, those star sequins are a genius touch! Cute card, and great use of white space (I so cannot "do" lots of white space!). Thanks for joining in the fun at Just Add Ink this week.

  10. I was trying to figure out the sequins and they realized the stars were sequins. Why do we not have more shaped sequins? WHY??!!! Fun cards though, love the twisted twine. It's a neat touch.
