It's Tuesday, and time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash. This week's theme is Splish Splash, and we'd like you to use wet media. That is: spray inks, watercolors, acrylic paint, India ink, water soluble crayons, etc.-- in any way at all, either as a background or with stamps as a focal point.
I chose to use inks to make a color wash, and I made this:
It's very, very subtle, but it's there. I first masked off the edges of a piece of water color paper. I then squished Hero Arts pastel inks in blue, green and yellow onto a craft mat, then used a water brush to pick up the colors and paint a diagonal background. I almost couldn't see it until I peeled off the tape to reveal the still-white part of the paper.
I trimmed it down, matted it on black, and stamped a bold, black greeting from Winnie & Walter. Then I put that whole thing onto a Hero Arts Eggshell card base, off-center on purpose.
So, got some wet stuff languishing in your craft room? Get it out and come play over at SOS this week!
Thanks for stopping by!
Stuff I used: misc black card stock, and the following:
I'm absolutely sure the off-center placement of this gorgeous main panel was done on purpose! Love the soft look of this!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I like the pastel colors.
