I had a crafty day with lots of friends scheduled yesterday, but Mother Nature decided to thwart our plans, and the crop was postponed. Okay, we had 5" of snow, and were supposed to get freezing rain on top of it, so travel was not actually a good idea. After a few hours of moping (I mean, I PACKED and everything!), I decided to brave the weather and headed to a neighbor's house to play in her craft room. It was two blocks away. I made it safely.
So yesterday was a play day, and I had no mojo, but once in a while a card came through. Oh, I'd also collected a list of challenges to try to prompt the mojo, but failed to print it and bring it along. I sat and stared a lot.
One challenge I did remember was the new Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge. This one is a collaboration with Lawn Fawn, and we can use SSS, or LF, or both! The actual challenge was to use Kraft. Well, my pal and I have huge collections of SSS and LF, and Kraft, so we made a few cards for the challenge.
Here's the first card I made yesterday:
I just love those hedge hogs! One of my ploys for crafty days is I bring a lot of my new stuff in an attempt to force myself to use it. I'd yet to ink up these cuties, plus I broke out my new MFT Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangles.
I colored the critters with Copics, set the white rectangle into the Kraft one, stamped the sentiment, and it was finished.
I made a few more cards yesterday, too, so I'll share those throughout the day.
Thanks for stopping by!
Stuff I used: SU Kraft/Crumb Cake card stock, and the following:
Hedgehogs just make my heart melt, so this card is a total winner in my book. Sorry you had to have your plans ruined because of snow. I understand and totally sympathize but it looks like you had a good crafty day after all. Enjoy your Sunday.
