When I saw the latest Moxie Fab World: Tuesday Trigger:
I knew immediately that I'd use my Hero Arts Lace Background somehow, but I needed more inspiration to give me a push. In my world, inspiration = a sketch, so I chose the current Paper Players sketch:
I decided the background would be the lace, and the circle would be a doily, and I made this:
I kinda like how this turned out, a LOT. The lace background stamp was embossed in white onto a Hero Arts pool note card. I cut it apart to make the layer and rounded the corners with a 1/8" corner chomper to soften it a bit.
The doily and banner are cut from the same linen paper as the card base, and I opted for some ancient PSX detail platinum embossing powder for the sentiment. I thought it still needed something else, so I embossed a piece of the linen paper with the platinum EP and die-cut some hearts from it. You can almost see some of the detail and shine here:
I love it when a plan comes together!
Okay, now I might actually venture OUTSIDE. I want to go to The Container Store and see what I can get to help me get more organized in The Captain's Quarters. The overflow situation is getting on my nerves.
Thanks for stopping by!
Products used: PSX detail platinum embossing powder, and the following:
I absolutely love this inspiration photo as well as your beautiful card. What I can't seem to get past though is how tiny that woman's waist is (in the inspo photo). Is that even possible? Where do her organs go?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though. That's a stunning card.
