When I saw this card in my Feedly feed, I knew it would be the perfect CASE for a piece of paper I've had out since ... October. The paper was so pretty, and even though it was on the Give-Away table, and I was determined not to leave with more than I brought to give away, I had to take it home with me. Today I finally used it to make this:
Do you see why I NEEDED that paper?
I cut the large heart out of the cream layer, then put a piece of the patterned paper behind it. I got 6 pieces of A2-sized paper from the 12x12 sheet, so I made 6 of these.
The love die is from Paper Smooches, and now that I've used it I can put it away. The red card stock is SU Poppy Parade, which I hoarded before I dropped as a Demo. I'm on my last pack. EEEP.
The you is from the Simon Says Stamp You set that goes with their you die. I stamped it in Soft Pool, which is the closest to that blue I could get. None of my blue or pool papers matched it enough to use as a layer. Perhaps this is why the paper was on the Give-Away table? Maybe?
I didn't originally have the cream heart in the center, but I felt there was too much of the patterned paper jumping out at me, so I added the smaller heart as an afterthought. Then it was nekkid, so I colored some SU pearls with an R05 Copic and added them.
I'm kinda pleased with how these turned out. :)
Okay, I'm going back in to try some challenges now. Thanks for stopping by!
