You'd better watch out,
You'd better not cry,
You'd better not pout,
I'm telling you why:
THE CHRISTMAS BUNNY IS COMING TO TOWN!
Wait, what, that's not how it goes? The Christmas Bunny isn't a thing? I suspect he is since he's featured on this adorable Lawn Fawn holiday paper and stamp set:
I fell in love with this paper and stamp set as soon as I saw them, and I don't make holiday cards! Yes, they are that cute! I started out following a sketch, then gave it up and made up my own since I wanted those bunnies to hold the sentiment banner.
It took me a while, but I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to cut the top and bottom of the banner. You need to be careful which direction the stitches and cutting edge go, and if you get it wrong, you get no stitches on one side. Ask me how I know. This is about my 3rd or 4th attempt, and I mostly got it by cutting the bottom edge in two passes. I was reeeeeal close, but still needed to hide the join spot, thus the bell and silver bow.
I'm entering my card in the following challenges:
Jingle Belles - We Three Kings: use at least three patterned papers (I used four)
Lawnscaping Challenge - use patterned paper:
Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - I is for Iconic:
My icon is the CHRISTMAS BUNNY! They'll probably disqualify me, but I'm going to try, anyway. :)
In other news, during my trip to Traverse City, MI, last weekend, we stopped for a bite to eat on our way to a wine-tasting event. As we were leaving the deli parking lot, we couldn't remember if we needed to turn right or left to get to the winery, so one of my friends asked Siri. While she was asking Siri, I was talking with my other friend about how we loooove the meat loaf at the local gourmet market, and how we think the glaze has crack in it.
Then the pal talking to Siri said, "SAY WHAT!?" Look what Siri told her:
That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the day. And yes, we had a blast and sniffed a lot of wine and brandy. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Stuff I used: vat of clear embossing powder, silver thread, bell, and the following:
Muahhhh ha ha ha ha I love the Christmas Bunny!!! He is totes adorbs and completely iconic!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming back to join the sisterhood for another snarky challenge :)
Da bunnies! Da bunnies is so kewt! Awww! I see why you had to have them. I'm leery of a Christmas bunny though. You'd be all "He left me chocolate bites!" and then later you realize those aren't chocolate. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteSo cute. I am visiting my dad in CA, and I just picked up those dies and that paper pad at a LF event on Saturday. So darned cute.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good trip.
Christmas buns...adorable! And that Siri certainly has a sense of humor, doesn't she? Hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteOf COURSE there are Christmas Bunnies! They love to leave those not so edible little chocolate bites in the snow, don't they?! This is such a super cute card Leslie. I'm thinking Siri was on crack when she said that, just sayin.
ReplyDeleteYou just 'sniffed' the brandy and wine? Yeah, riggghhhhhtttttt....!
Oh, and thanks for playing along with the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers for the Iconic challenge!
if the xmas bunny is not currently a THING i vote we make it one, b/c loooooooooook how CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE those guys are!!! o'course it might be a mistake to put *two* of them on the same card... by the time they reach their destination there will be GENERATIONS of of xmas bunnies which will for sure make them a bona fide THING... and the PO will be pretty happy about all the extra income, i expect, lol! :) (ps: did i mention how much i *LOVE* this card and the combination of patterns you have used for our JINGLE BELLES theme?!) awesome! :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteThe Christmas Bunny!!! Absolutely iconic! Now I also really really want those stamps and papers. And my own Christmas Bunny. This is an utterly adorable card! So glad you joined the fun at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
ReplyDeleteI have tears of laughter filling my eyes after reading that comment from Siri! Oh my goodness, I would have loved to have been in that car and cracking up with you and your buddies! I am going to wipe my eyes and check out your Christmas bunnies more carefully...
