For this one I inked up the sentiment in three different Memento Luxe colors, heat-embossed them with clear embossing powder, then cut apart the yellow and blue ones to piece together what you see above.
Once I had that done, I went through my sketches and found this week's MFT sketch:
I also remember the current challenge at The Male Room is to use ribbon on a masculine card (always a challenge, non?) I dug out my SU Pacific Point ribbon that has stripes down the center, declared it a close enough match to the blue ink I'd used, and the card was born.
Note: I almost always work on a 4"x5 1/4" panel so when I destroy my project, it's only 1/4 of a sheet of card stock. I started doing this many years ago when I got tired of ripping off the backs of destroyed cards. It also saves me when I think to add a thick ribbon, as I can just fold the ribbon around the edges and put the panel onto the card front using foam tape.
This was a pretty easy card to make, which is always a pleasant surprise. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
ETA: This card won Top 3 at The Male Room! :)
Stuff I used: vat of clear embossing powder, SU Pacific Point ribbon, and the following:
