I got my box of new SU pre-order goodies today, so I had to PLAY! I didn't get too serious, since I still have a table covered with partially-completed stuff from the other night, but I did manage to crank out two quick & easy cards.
Both cards use the new Greenhouse Gala papers, which are TO DIE FOR, since they have green & blue. Check it out:
LOVE IT! The card base is the new Pear Pizzazz. This pattern is busy enough to shine on its own, so I let it. I just added some of our yummy Chocolate Chip satin ribbon and a sentiment from the new Perfect Punches stamp set. I inked the whole thing in Baja Breeze, then wiped off the bordering edge and colored it with my Choc Chip marker. It fits perfectly in the Wide Oval punch (of course).
Next is the flip side of that piece of paper, which I put on a Baja Breeze base:
This pattern is repeated on several of the papers in the pack, just in different colors. Oh, the possibilities! I used white taffeta ribbon with a piece of the new skinny Espresso ribbon layered over it, and used the same sentiment in the same colors of ink as the first card. I am sooo lazy, but it worked!
I must go stamp some more. I'll show off some more new stuff as I get to it.
Thanks for stopping by!
I am in for some trouble aren't I?! These papers are just lovely and your cards are BEEE-YOO-TIFUL!! :)
ReplyDeleteD@^#! I just placed my pre-order and did not get this DSP! Carp! It's gorgeous! Love both cards!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are really pretty! I'm with you on the Pear cardstock - so yummy!
ReplyDeleteooooooooooooooh. and also, AHHHHHHHH. those "greenhouse gala" papers are indeed the bee's whiskers!!! **♥♥♥** particularly in that they're double-sided and have multi- versions of the "secondary" patterns in different coordinating colors??!?!
ReplyDeleteone of the things i routinely admire about the SU masterminds is clearly THEY are crafty...or they really *LISTEN* to crafty folk b/c i think SU are pretty unbeatably for truly USEFUL lines of product & accessories!
(also, they rank with OPI nailpolish for catchy & amusing color names: "pear pizzazz" indeed!!!) :)
oof--it occurs to me that the 4th para of a comment is waaaaaaaaaaaaay late to say "i love these cards"...but then i figure an artist of your caliber will take it for granted that i **ALWAYS** love your cards (which i do!) and forgive me for moving right on to stuff you've SAID??!?! :)
I have put myself on a "no more SU paper pack diet." Trying to use up my many packets...but that new pear color is really yummy...argh...
