Oh, those Belles sure know how to make me happy! This week's challenge is "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells". You see, Friday was April 1st, also known as April Fools' Day, so this is a perfect prompt for the week. Fortunately for me, I have a whole cache of irreverence for just about any occasion! My original idea was to use my "Be naughty. Save Santa a trip" stamp, but I already used it in Week 10, so I had to dig a little deeper. Then I re-discovered a stamp that is one of my best-sellers, and it gave me a little warm-all-over feeling for my dear kitteh:
This is the first one I made. I usually color the window panes with a light blue marker, but this was for a JB challenge, so I pulled out all the stops!!! I stamped the window on a piece of the cloud paper I used last week and cut it out to fit around the cats. The result was okay, but the window is more raised than the kittehs, so I went in again.
I stamped the image on the white card base and on a piece of the cloud paper:
... and I cut out the whole window so it looked like this:
I stamped it AGAIN on a scrap of white and cut out just the cats. NOW, the cats would be raised up higher than the window panes, which I think looks better:
Here is the finished version of the card:
I like it.
So there's my entry for the Batman Smells challenge over at Jingle Belles Rock! C'mon over and play!
And thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteSuch fun! I like that you didn't get all carried away coloring everything and all of that - this is so much more effective! And this is another reinforcement of the "cats have staff" concept...
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies on the loss of your little furry friend, too - hope you're starting to heal.
