OWH WCMD (the blah blah blah)

Hello! Yesterday was WCMD and I snagged a position in a looong list of OWH hoppers. The thing with a hop that big is they don't want a lot of blah blah blah in your post, so I've saved that for today. Lucky you. :)

I made two each of two cards (that would be a total of four cards) in about 10 minutes using this sketch:

I didn't follow the dimensions exactly since I work off a 4x5.25 piece of card stock instead of the card base. My measurements are about 1/8" off of the ones listed for the lighter panel (my patterned paper) and my strip is only 1.75" wide instead of 2". Also, my circle fit my sentiment, not the dimensions in the sketch. I'm ornery that way.

Here is the first card:

I pulled out my pack of Fancy Pants Trendsetter papers - LOVE the colors! - and chose the houndstooth paper for the bottom layer and the navy dots for the horizontal strip.

While I was there, I saw these pretty navy stars on green and used them, too, with the same navy for the horizontal strip:

Most of you will notice this is not my normal type sentiment. Well, no, it's not. When the new Hero Arts OWH sets came out earlier this year, I decided to get this set along with the others since it's for a good cause. For this hop we needed to use a Thanks sentiment, and I thought this one would fit nicely in a circle, and would be perfect for someone overseas to send home to a loved one.

I'm telling you: 4 cards in like 10 minutes. The most time was spent die-cutting the circles, because I only stamped 3 instead of 4 and had to go back to do one more. I could totally disappear a 6x6 pad with this sketch.

That's it; your enablement list follows.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. These are great cards. Love both sets of papers and yes, this is a great sketch to bang out a lot of cards. Nice job.
