Tree of Hearts

In my blog reading the past few weeks, I ran across a card that used the tree from Season of Friendship, and hearts punched from the new red glimmer paper (available in the Occasions Mini catalog starting Tuesday!), but I cannot find the card that inspired me. If you know of the card of which I speak, please let me know and I'll give proper credit and linkage.

That said, here is my card:

I broke open my pack of First Edition papers (also in the new Occasions Mini) so I didn't have a plain, boring vanilla background. The top was like the top of a page - lots of wide open spaces - so I tore it to make it a little more interesting. Some of The Ladies don't like to tear, and that's okay. It would look fine without the tearing.

The tree was stamped with Early Espresso, and the glimmer paper was punched using the small heart punch. This paper is very cool. All gliMMery, but nothing flakes off of it like gliTTer would. So nice. I hope we see this in more colors in future catalogs!

The other parts-is-parts are Real Red card stock, Real Red skinny taffeta ribbon, Large Oval punch, and the sentiment is from the Filled With Love set in the Holiday Mini, but it's been extended as a bundled set promotion through Jan 24th.

Yeah, I think I've covered all my Good Demo bases with this card. (heh heh) For my next trick, I think I'll make a non-Valentine's Day card, for people who either don't care for the holiday, or get sickened by so much red and pink all in the same room. Like me. :)

I know, I know, I still owe you a pic of my digital card. Next. I promise - next post.

Thanks for stopping by!
