The current challenge at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is:
No sentiment! But ... I usually use the sentiment to cover up boo-boos. Sigh.
I've made image-only cards before, but I didn't want to CASE myself too much. I wanted this to be a new creation. I ended up combining a few things from my other image-only cards, and I made this:
I must admit ... well, I don't have to, but I will ... this was my 6th or 7th attempt. And yes, I started at 2 am because I wasn't sleeping, so that may have had something to do with my "omg, I hate that" versions of this card.
To make a very long, sad, story short, I used three colors of Distress ink to watercolor the masked background, dried it, then stamped the Hero Arts image over it with Memento Luxe black and clear-embossed it.
The reason I don't use this stamp more is I feel the circles need embellishment, and that's where I usually go way overboard and end up wrecking the whole card. I only used a few pearls here, so I hope it's not too much.
One of these days I'll get the gold version of this to work. I think I need to work on the background colors, so the gold doesn't get lost. Stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by!
Stuff I used: vat of clear embossing powder (where vat = a whole pint) from Viva Las Vegas Stamps, and the following:
