This week's Jingle Belles Rock challenge asks us to use stars or stripes. I've been pondering this challenge the past few days, and when I saw today's Mojo Monday sketch:
I knew I had a something that would kick-start me into motion. I turned the sketch sideways and made this:
Yeah, totally not a Leslie card. The papers are from my Basic Grey wassail 6x6 pack, and I used a lot of different papers for the layers and punched parts. The doily is from my pack of Martha Stewart tags, and it was very white, so I "dirtied" it up with some Sahara Sand ink. I would have used Crumb Cake, but someone stole it. Or it's lost under the heaplet. Maybe.
Here's a detail shot of all those parts-is-parts:
Yeah, I know. I made a fussy card. One of my customers stopped by, saw it, and wanted it, so I've also sold this fussy card. :)
By the way, I made that card instead of washing the kitchen floor, so I guess I need to go wash the kitchen floor now. Or not. Company doesn't arrive until Friday night, so I have lots of time. I think I'll go stamp some more. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
This card is pure gorgeousness! Stunning! This is a card I would have trouble letting go of. Congrats on the sale!

ReplyDeleteCard-making always trumps floor-cleaning ... love how you flipped the sketch with those fun stars ... so glad you joined our jingle belles fun.
ReplyDeleteooooooooooooooh-kay missus: just WHO ARE YOU and what've you done with leslie, eh??!?!?! cause this is a layery "fussy" collagey type of card and it's a well know fact (normy) that leslie doesn't HAVE the fussy gene!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDelete(having played the above "joke" for all it's worth i must say--as i'm sure others have pointed out before me-- this is one ♥HUM-DINGER♥ of a gorgeous & fabbbbbbbbbulous card!!! i love everything about it!)
ps: i stole the crumb cake. imagine my chagrin when i discovered it was INK and not a tasty treat!!! i shall be returning your "hot chocolate" records for the same reason. :) :) :)
It may be fussy but I like it a lot. Maybe you should try more fussiness from time to time.
