Well, this was going to be a 3-fer challenge. I was going to combine the AWESOME Play Date Cafe color challenge:
with this week's Hambo Hoedown challenge (I need to get back on that wagon), and I needed a sketch to get me started, so I chose this one from Cardabilities:
Then, as is my nature, I was so proud of myself for remembering to use a Hambo image that I forgot to check on the specifics of the challenge - CORNERS. Once you see my card, you'll know why I've FAILED:
Duuuude. Do you see any fancy corner focus here?! Do you even see any chance of a save!? No, no you do not. HOWEVER, I think I might have knocked 2 of these out of the park, eh? Sketch -- check. Colors = Black + White + a splash of Teal -- check.
In case you're wondering, the cow does not have the pox. That was my attempt to give him freckles. Pffth.
Details: Cow image - Hambo Stamps; Circle Nestabilities; MFT doily die; Basic Grey little black dress paper (first time I've used it!); SU scallop punch; SU Taken with Teal card stock; EK Success leaf punch; SU Itty Bitty Shapes punch (small flower); misc bling; Paper Smooches sentiment; Copic markers.
Guess I'll go back in and try that Hambo challenge again, and this time I'll remember CORNERS!
Thanks for stopping by!
I like his little freckled nose, my kitty has one of those. Can you just round the corners of the card or does it need to be fancier than that?
ReplyDeletePerfect card for that sketch... Those colors are great here. *smile*
ReplyDeleteawww, cute cow :) he`d look great with my cow spot paper, no? ;)
