One of the items on my list of things to do this weekend is to disappear another 6x6 pad of paper, hopefully one with a lot of pink in it. So this afternoon I pulled out a few packs of paper and a few sketches, and I made ... four cards. Yes, just four. But the weekend is long and I still have time!
Here's what I made:
I followed this sketch from Skipping Stones Design:
Here's another one with different papers:
I used some of my growing collection of enamel dots from MME. *ahem* The first card has putty-colored dots and this one has some rosy pink ones. I like that they are pretty flat. Also, I used cut-offs from the papers for the sentiments; with the off-white heart it needed some color. I made two of this version.
Speaking of paper cut-offs, I did some color blocking with some of the other strips, cut it out with a Nestabilities die, and made this:
Centering the die-cut piece wasn't possible unless I trimmed off a bit of the edge, so this is a little less than 4.25 tall.
Hopefully I'll make a bigger dent in that paper over the next few days.
Thanks for stopping by!
Products used but not linked below: Basic Grey Sugared 6x6 pad (I can't find it anywhere to link it; must be discontinued), clearbags.com linen card bases.
Those cards are lovely and I know you will be glad when all of the (gah!) pink is gone.
ReplyDeleteWow! They are all beautiful, looove pink! :) So much fun to see the same sketch with different papers and sizes! Thanks for playing with Skipping Stones Design this week!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to come say "hello"! Tday always takes it out me and I feel like I haven't left enough love lately :) So hugs and love. And PS-I'm seriously addicted to those enamel dots. And I *only* have 1 pack :/
