Kitten Sitting

Here is my second cat card from today for the Cat Lovers' Hop, posted separately to keep Inlinkz happy. (My first card is here.) Hopefully with Inlinkz's next upgrade we'll be able to link multiple cards from the same post.

The cats are from Stampotique, and the sentiment is on an unlabeled wood block. I stamped it, cut it apart, and drew lines around the edges. The lines weren't intended to be so squiggly; my hands just aren't all that steady.

The layout started as the current sketch at Feeling Sketchy:

which I rotated:

I also moved the clippy element to the right to make room for my cats.

Hopefully I'm done with cats for a while.

I'm off to link up! Thanks for stopping by!

Some of the stuff I used: Kitten Sitting by Stampotique, mystery-source sentiment, SSS Stitched Rectangles dies + Spellbinder's Standard Square dies used to make the base for the sentiment, Basic Grey Granola paper, american Crafts brads, Distress Ink Broken China, Copics (0, R08, RV11, E49, E74, E71, W2)

  4. Why would you want to be done with cats? That is an excellent image, perfectly coloured and sentiment-paired. ;)

  5. Thanks for giving me a great big giggle this evening with your adorably crazy fun cards! This big kitty definitely looks at the end of her rope so we'd better hope she's been drinking wine in her yoga pants this afternoon!

  9. Another fun and fine feline card. As soon as you said those were Stamp Botique cats I thought, "But of course."

  10. Hi Leslie - this is a fun card and I love how you've used our sketch. The sentiment is fabulous (just how I felt at the end of our half term holiday last week!) and the squiggly lines give it character! Thanks for playing along at Feeling Sketchy this time.

  12. I actually prefer one project per post because it is easier to comment on them. It is a hassle to double post, but trying to keep my own posts short is the hardest thing for me! :)

Love the funny cat cards you have posted!! The expressions on the faces are just a riot....along with the sentiments that crack me up. I love how the mama cat on this one has her lower fangs showing. So perfect. And who hasn't witnessed a kitten playing with its mommy's tail?....which has an imaginary butterfly dangling from it....lol...
Thanks so much for linking up your fabulous cards at the Cat Lovers Hop!!!
