One more!

I finally finished the last sample for next weekend's workshops. I actually came up with a lot of ideas, but I really wanted one that incorporated SU's Berry Bliss DS papers, as several of my customers have commented how much they like it.

This card started out following this sketch, but over time it morphed into something completely different. I like the two panels of coordinating DS papers, but that was where I ultimately stopped following the sketch and worked on making it my own. This is what came out:

Recipe: Stamps - Embrace Life, Tres Chic; Paper - Pretty In Pink, Chocl Chip, Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White, Berry Bliss DS paper; Ink - Pretty In Pink, Purely Pomegranate; Other - 5-Petal Flower punch, 1/2" Circle punch, Word Window punch, Choc Chip taffeta ribbon, Soft Subtles brads.

I really like these colors together! I added the Tres Chic background to make the pink card base a little less in-your-face. The center of the flower is just a 1/2" punch-out of one of the flowers from the Berry Bliss paper. The sentiment fit perfectly in the Word Window punch (yay!) and is flanked by two more Word Window punches in Pomegranate to frame it and give it some contrast against the pink. I actually had Pomegranate stitched ribbon in there until I switched it to brown at the last minute; I think that is what finally pulled it all together for me.

And now I can play with some of my new stuff with a clear conscience. :-)

Thanks so much for drawing inspiration from this weekend's sketch.
