A Little Snark

When my pal Libby sent me a card using some snarky stamps from Stampotique, I knew immediately I need to own them, and now I do. I used them to make two cards:

This first one has papers from the Basic Grey sweet threads 6x6 pad, and the next one uses papers from the BG out of print 6x6 pad:

(Sorry about that angle - my work desk is my stand-in photo studio.) I paper-pieced her dresses and colored her with Copics. The flower jobbies on her hair cover up a "bow" that is part of the image but that I didn't like so much. I felt with her attitude, she needed BIG so I gave her BIG!

Speaking of which, what are those, um, thingies around her knees? I didn't color them, because I don't know what they are! Please help me - I don't get out much.

Have you noticed I've been cutting apart my sentiments lately? Maybe I'm just lazy, but I find they fit on the cards better, especially for the longer sentiments (not just physical length, but number of words, too.)

In other news, my vacation is officially over, and I need to go to the Day Job tomorrow morning. I KNOW! It's such a cruel, cruel world. Sigh.

Oh, one more thing: my pal Lisa is having a give-away over at her blog, Papergrace Designs, and I am one of the givees! Go have a look! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Love it!!! Too funny, I thought you meant earlier on Twitter that they liked MY card, but no, they liked making their OWN cards!!! Well the compliment was nice while it lasted, Hahahahaha! Great cards, so glad I enabled you. ;-)

  3. Awesome cards, sweetness!! And that sentiment kicks all kinds of butt! :)

I like "breaking up" my sentiments, too. That's why I love using my labelmaker so much. I can make all the sentiments I want & then cut 'em to pieces. Go get you one! :D

(PS - and thanks for the shout out!)
