Start Each Day With Whee!

I don't have a lot of MFT Pure Innocence stamps, mostly because I don't like to color, and you have to color the faces with the PI images. But when I saw this one a few years ago, I needed it because of the sentiment:

I got past most of the coloring by paper piecing her dress, but that face! She came out splotchy since I used the wrong ink for Copics. Plus, I can't color. In spite of this, I think the sentiment makes up for all of that, don't you agree? I'm also very proud that I used scraps remnants from the Basic Grey Picadilly 6x6 pad.

I thought it needed a sun in the upper right corner, but it would be overwhelming, so I used some yellow sequins instead, and I really like how it turned out.

In other news, it's Caturday, and Bobra wouldn't let me go back to sleep this morning, so I've been up for hours. I might go to the farmers' market to get tomatoes and then come home and take a nap. We'll see.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. that is a cool sentiment. I can't color faces or hair yet, I just decided to not go there for my sanity :) Hope you get a nap in, I've been up since 6 with no reason, *yawn*.

  3. I think she's adorable and the paper piecing on her dress is cute. The sunny sequins are a nice touch - I think a sun would have been too much, too.

  4. The sequins are perfect!
OMG, you know what I just realized? She is one of those perky morning people. The PI girl, I mean.
I'm a big believer in "whee," but let's do it around 11, mmmkay?
