Using It Up

A few weeks ago, I mostly disappeared a 6x6 pack of paper by making some cards for OWH. All that was left were a few pieces of red and blue-green that I loved and had trouble parting with.  A few days ago I took care of that and made several cards with the papers.

First, I played with a new-to-me stamp set from Taylored Expressions, and I made this:

The sentiment fits perfectly in the included stamped frame (of course), so I just layered it on some of the red paper, put that over a piece of the green, then went to work on the phone. There are several phone images included with the set, but this one spoke to me. :)

Then, to use up most of the rest of the papers, I made several of these:

Big chunks of the papers. They are so pretty I just want to fondle them. Sigh. This card follows the (omg it's still current) Dahlhouse Designs sketch:

That's also where I got my new watermark - click on her banner on the right side of her blog if you're interested in one for yourself.

This sketch was too easy. I just cut the red pieces with my Paper Smooches die, then layered them over pieces of the green. I found a birthday sentiment in a font I liked, and DONE.

I have a few strips of this paper left. As soon as I dig up a sketch that works for me, I'll use them, too. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I haven't used up a pack of paper in so long, I wonder what that is like.... I'm with you, there is always a piece or two left that you want to keep and fondle, pet and sniff. Or is that TMI? Great cards. I love the one with the phone.
