Quick Thank You

I needed a quick Thank You card, so I checked out my pages of printed challenges and found two I thought would work well together. First, I took the colors from the current (I might make the deadline, even) Colours & Sketches color challenge:

and the current Addicted to CAS challenge to use a stencil:

and I made this:

I used the Hero Arts Irregular Checkerboard stencil with Distress Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, and Pumice Stone for the colors. I cut it down to the area I stenciled and put it on a trimmed Kraft (it might even be Crumb Cake) card stock base.

The die-cut Thanks is from Paper Smooches, and although I think it would have looked better further down on the card, it hides an unfortunate poorly inked square of the stencil. ;/ There are four layers of the die-cut to give it a bit of dimension.

I'm off to link up to see if I can beat the deadline for these challenges. Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stuff I used: SU Crumb Cake card stock, misc black card stock from my collection next to my paper trimmer, and the following:

  1. I like it. I thought you made the background with those old fashioned shadow stamps, but I see you made it with those new fashioned stencils.
