(This is my second post today. Please scroll down for my Shopping Our Stash kick-off post!)
Once again I am down to the wire for this week's Hambo Hoedown challenge. I didn't even get the cute chicken image since I ran out of time to play last week, so I used one of my already-printed monstas from an earlier challenge because it was there. Aaaand, I even read the directions to use both dots and stripes. Here's my card:
The papers are from Basic Grey's life of the party 6x6 pack. The beauteous loopy die-cut strip is one of my new MFT dies and I used it on another piece of paper from the same BG pack. Only problem? The image and sentiment were printed on white, and it was too stark. Not wanting to fire up the 'puter and printer and take 2 hours to print them again (old computer, short fuse on the stamper) I instead colored the white part with a Copic. DONE!
Didya notice his tail is sticking out over the edge of the circle? I wanted to use my 1 3/4" circle punch, but the image's tail was too long. So I trimmed it to the point where I could get the punch where I wanted it around the rest of the image. I was pretty desperate not to print that again, and my circle Nesties are still out on loan.
