I like to keep this blog G-rated, but sometimes you've just gotta let go. The sentiment I used has been sitting on my desk for WEEKS. It's old, but I took it out for another project that never happened, and I just couldn't put it away until I'd used it, so I used it.
The challenge I played that is not expired yet is the current Play Date Cafe challenge:
I love "splash" challenges since I think black & white + a little color is so classic. I stretched their Tangerine suggestion and went with a piece of Groovy Guava (I think) that is more orange, and I made this:
Okay, that's definitely darker, but it's in the spirit of the challenge. It was sitting in my not-yet-put-away pile of miscellaneous colors of card stock remnants, so it got used. Proximity rules my world.
And no, I didn't smear the sentiment; it's all smeary by design. Lucky for me, eh? When I WANT it clean, it's not. I added that arrow (and purposely did not color it) and called it my vertical element. I tried twine, but it was awful.
Now if you'll excuse me I need to go link up to this current challenge before it closes.
Thanks for stopping by!
Stuff: MFT Chevron die, River City Rubber Works sentiment.
Ahhh, very cool! I love the chevron and the wood veneer...and the Leslie-style snark :)
ReplyDeleteSee, when you referenced G-rated, I thought that was gonna get a HELL of a lot more 4-lettered than it did! I would laugh so hard if I got this card from someone :D
ReplyDeleteThat's a great sentiment and I love the chevrons.
ReplyDeleteChevrons make me happy! Love this card! Thank you for playing along with The Play Date Cafe!
