Be Naughty

My brain is still paying along with current Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge: N is for Naughty Christmas:

Here's my second submission:

Gosh, but I do love Stella. This is actually a clear stamp set from Stampalicious (now closed); not a digital image. I linked below to the Bugaboo digital site.

The layout was inspired by the sketch at As You See It:

but I didn't include all the sketch elements. I'll probably be disqualified. But I created in the spirit of the sketch.

I first stamped Stella and her chariot, then I opened and used my Molotow masking fluid pen. Apparently it's not as easy to use as it looks in Jennifer McGuire's hand. If you look closely (not even too closely ...) you can see flecks of blue everywhere. In her hair, on her face, on the chariot. Sigh. For the chariot, I could say she parked next to some rude shoppers, but on her face? Double-sigh. I WAS NOT STARTING OVER, so I'm dealing with it.

After I removed the masking fluid, I colored the image with Copics, and applied white flock to her hat and under the sleigh as snow. I wanted to make the back edge of the sleigh look like chrome (one of the sentiments in this set is "Pimp my ride"), but my remnant of shiny silver paper went missing, so I colored it with my Wink of Luna silver marker. Not really what I was looking for. Oh, as I was cleaning up, I found the silver card stock. Of course.

Her glasses got Glossy Accents, and at the last moment, once the whole card was finished, I decided to Glossy Accent the sleigh.

See the shiny:

I'm still seeking that perfect card that I can handle with mass production. This is not it. It's going to be a busy weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!

Some of the stuff I used: Stella images from Stampalicious (here is the Bugaboo digital image of Stella and the sentiment I used), SU 2-way glue pen, SU white flock, Copics (N2, E000, Y21, Y23, BG11, BG34, BG01, BG05, R22, R14, R35), and the following:

  1. It may not be a perfect mass production card, but it's really fun! I love the image and sentiment!

  3. How fun is this card. I love her, and no matter how closely I look I cannot find the blue flecks. I watched a periscope the other night and that stuff really needs to dry. Apparently it dries from the top down. I have a couple of pens I got while in CA at Hobby Lobby but have yet to crack em open. Probably a task for the new year.

  4. Why mass-produce when you can just keep cranking out naughty one-offs! ;) This is delicious.
