Hambo Hoedown - All Wrapped Up

This week's challenge over at the Hambo Hoedown blog is a color challenge! We were asked to use their MUMMY image and one of the sentiments with purple, orange, black and green for the main colors.

Here is the image (free, if you played last week and remembered to email them your card):

I printed the mummy twice in two different sizes to depict big & little brothers out Trick or Treating. Here's my card:

I used a piece of Basic Grey eerie 6x6 papers with purple and black, and added the orange on their pumpkins. I actually colored the mummy tape with several colors of very light grey Copics so they're not WHITE white. The green layer is from the SU Frightful Sight DSP pack. I also colored the pumpkins' eyes green.

I was going to tear the card stock around the sentiment, but it's so small and the card stock I used was so heavy, I was afraid I'd destroy it and have to re-print it, so I just cut it wonky (on PURPOSE!) and distressed the edges, then colored it and the edges in some cool grey Copics.

I wanted to somehow "wrap" the sentiment, too, but ended up just using some gauze to hang from it. I took a few of the trimmings and stuck them to the mummies to make it look like they were coming unwound. I'm telling you, *I* almost came unwound trying to learn a few things in GIMP tonight. Man, I am so not digital-savvy. ;/

Thanks for stopping by!
