Find Good

I played the current My Favorite Things sketch challenge:

and made this:

This card was 100% influenced by my failed efforts to make a card for the current Jingle Belles challenge. I'm going back to the drawing board on that one, but what fell out was die-cut you see above. That's what got me thinking about the circle on this sketch, and that I should use the thing to get it off my desk. You neat people are really missing out on a lot of inspiration!

So I took out my trusty Park Bench 6x6 paper, cut a few remnants to fit, colored the wreath with Copics, and stuck them all to the card base. Yes, the CARD BASE. I didn't even use a white layer on this one. *feels forehead*

I went looking for an MFT sentiment to fit in that space, and though I tried to use one of the Twisted sets, I ended up with a nice sentiment instead. I don't think I've ever inked it before, even. I wonder what that says about me. Hmmm ....

Lastly I added a miscellaneous button and called it done.

I am now in the throes of starting over with my Jingle Belles card. I. will. be. victorious. I hope. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Great papers together, I am getting an optical illusion, looks almost as if your chevron piece is on the interior of the card.

  3. Excellent card! Brilliant idea to color that die with markers - I never thought to try that! DOH! And you must be bleeding from the ears at not using a Twisted sentiment. I think I heard you screaming from here. ;)

  7. You nailed that circle in the inspiration photo. I had to laugh at your dissing the neat people. I said that myself the other day. Great soft colors on your card. I love those park bench papers myself.... I'm hoarding the pad currently. Neatly, though. hee hee
