Happy Happy Birthday

I got a shipment of new crafty goodies the other day, and I needed to use them to justify my purchase(s). I was so in love with the current Jingle Belles sketch I used for my JB card, that I used it as the basis for this card, too:

All the papers are from the new Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine 6x6 paper pack. I like them so much I accidentally ordered the pack twice, and I'm so HAPPY that I did. I see me using these a lot!

I had a hair-brained scheme to die-cut the words from the white tag, cut them again from one of the papers, then piece them back into the tag. It's quite fussy work, but I really like the result. And no, this card will not be mass-produced.

Oh, and if you decide to try this piecing thing, remember to save the white parts from inside the letters. They are very tiny, but they do need to be put back. I found my Pick Me Up stick to be an invaluable tool for this exercise.

I'm off to play with more of my new stuff. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Cute cute cute. I totally know what you mean about having to use the stuff. Except I really like to leave it as long as I can.....coz once it's out of the packet, it's not new stuff!

  2. The notebook topping is so fun! The whole card is fun and festive. That's a great tip about remembering to save the little inside pieces for the letters. So tedious! But worth it!
