For The Love Of Washi

I've been in a mojo funk for a week or two now, and nothing has snapped me out of it. Nothing until a package of goodies arrived from Simon Says Stamp, and in said package were several collections of washi tape. I know, I know, I swore I wouldn't buy any more, but it's so pretty!

So, to justify said purchase, I used it to make two cards. I went with my fall-back sketch for using washi tape, but the packs contained four rather than the usual three rolls of tape, so technically it's different. Yeah.

Here's the first one, for a guy:

Fun, huh? I used Hero Hues Cerulean ink for the sentiment.

Here's the one with girlier tapes:

I used Hero Arts Navy for this sentiment, and Memento Luxe Pear Tart and Rose Bud for the hearts. AND, I even broke down and stamped on the inside of this one:

Wow, you can really see the bad stamping when it's all blown up like that. It looked fine in real life. ;/

Unbelievably, both of these have been mailed already, which so rarely happens in my world. Yes, I am very proud. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I didn't need to know about that tape. I'm going to erase that from my mind because all I can see is endless possibilities for Halloween cards and the last thing I need is MORE possibilities.
But that second card is adorable!

  7. Both cards are fabulous! CAS at it's best! You have inspired me to try and do something with all the Washi Tape I own. I swear I need to stop shopping! I was trying to pick a favorite, but they are both technically perfect and aesthetically marvelous, so I guess it is a tie for me! Very nicely done!
