Time for another Hambo Hoedown challenge! This week (if we played last week) we were given this image:
And a sketch to follow:
Yes, I KNOW I read the directions first! But it was a sketch, and I love sketches, so it registered deep in my grey matter. Here is my card:
I streeeeeetched the oval because I didn't print the image small enough, but that's OKAY. I also printed the image on some ziggy-zaggy patterned paper from SU that is on the back of a bunch of flowery stuff. I had yet to figure out what to do with this stripey piece, and the tie was perfect!
I even broke out an old Cuttlebug folder to emboss the Baja Breeze piece. The sentiment is from the Taylored Expressions "Boys Will Be Boys" set that I still haven't put away, though I did clean the stamps I used this week. Oh, look, the sentiment is crooked. Sigh.
The buttons on the collar are from my stash. I have a bazillion teeny tiny buttons, and fortunately I found two white ones. Baby steps, people, baby steps.
I actually printed a few of these babies, so I'm going to make some more cards tonight so I'll have them for tomorrow's market. Or maybe I'll go to bed. We have another week until Father's Day, right? :/
Thanks for stopping by!
I think this card is great...I love the way you did the tie in the stripes! and a sketch is only a sketch...no rules except to follow the main outline, right?
