First, you'll notice it's Tuesday night and I'm just now posting this (deadline is Wed before I get home from work), because I have to leave at the crack of cranky to get to work early tomorrow morning, so tonight was IT, kids. I'd put it off as long as I could.
You see, without rules and instructions and guidelines and sketches and ... I am a lost soul. I have no direction. Well, truth be told, even when I have instructions I can't get a clue, so imagine my suffering this past week. It's been intense.
Tonight I went in search of a sketch to get me started, and I selected one, then forgot about it and selected this one:
This is CPS Card Sketches # 224, and here is what I made:Then I went in search of an element to use where the sketch has a circle, and I chose my MFT die set (the name escapes me at the moment, and I'm too tired to look it up). I selected three other left-over papers and used them for the die-cut layers. The snowflake is also an MFT die.
Sentiments. Do you know I have very few sentiments that fit in that top layer die? The one I ended up with is from A Muse.
Here's a detail shot (because I could) of all the layers:
Soooo, have you made your card yet this week? Come on over and play!
Thanks for stopping by!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!!! These are all so stinkin' pretty, Leslie! Wowwwweeeee!!! :) Bravo on one gorgeous card and 2 equally brilliant tags. So pretty and JOVIAL! ;) ♥
Too cute. I LOVE that dark paper. I used my sheet first from my little 6x6 pad.
Leslie, these are great...thanks for joining us over at the OG this week...you don't look like you were lost at all!
I love this set. the dark paper is the perfect background perfectly sets off the wonderful layers you have added. I love ever bit of this - so eye catching!
that ♥GORGEOUS♥ black paper with the flowers was your least favorite in the pack??! seriously?! dude, we should totally share supplies!!! :) :) :)
i love *EVERY SINGLE THING* about these! i looooooooove the dark background (you may have sussed that, above!) i LOVE those mft dies (consider me ENABLED!) i looooooooove the happy holidays sentiment, the buttons, snowflakes, pearls, etc; i ♥LOVE♥ that the tags are made from the off-cuts and are the foldy kind with string like the ones i remember from childhood...
YEP, you've pretty much ROCKED this in every way it could be rocked! do feel free to take some time off from jingling... til friday... :) :) :)
Nice card and great dp! Nice job on the CPS sketch and thanks for playing along :)
Love this card! That is one of my favorite Christmas papers, I bought a lot of it last year but I think it was 12 x 12 because I couldn't find the 6 x 6 pads. I love how you rounded the edges and those dies are so pretty together. It is hard to find sentiments to fit in some of them, though. I have that problem, too.
Love your post, made me giggle! I think the papers you chose, while not your favorites, have worked beautifully here! I like the vintage look of the paper with the warm richness and details. All the layers are perfect for this design, and create a great card. Your tags made me giggle too - that's okay to fold some paper and half and embellish- that's the beauty of a tag!
Thanks for participating with us at Opus Gluei on this dual challenge with the JBs - you're correct, there be prizes, lots of large and small to share the love!
The Crack of Cranky ... yeah, I'll be using that sometime later this week ... and I love that dark paper (it's actually one of my favorites from that collection) ... so pretty with the layered bits and bobbles ... I particularly like the hairy texture of the twine ... and those cute little tag-lets are the bomb. Hope your early start was worth it. Thanks for joining us at jingle belles.
Your card and tags are beautiful Basic Grey heaven :-)
Thank you for joining with Opus Gluei!

I am so loving the dark background paper. It reminds me of a scrap quilt my daughter made when she first learned to sew. Thanks for the memory! Your projects are wonderful.
