You Can Do It!

I had another crafty play day yesterday, so prepare to be bombarded with cards I've made for challenges. I'd like to try and post at least a few of them before their deadlines. :)

For my first card:

I combined two challenges. I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:

and the colors from CAS - Colours and Sketches:

Granted, I used a bit more than "a splash" of the yellow, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the printed image on that yellow paper to stand in for the star element of the sketch. :)

I'm pretty lucky that my pal has more 6x6 pads than I do, as she had two that had this yellow in them. The two vertical strips of paper are from a different pack (and company) than the piece with the flowers.

After I'd assembled all the parts-is-parts, I went looking for a sentiment that fit. I ended up using one from my Lil' Inker Snarky Sentiments set with some pretty nice (read: irreverent) sentiments.

For my last act, I added black glaze dots to some of the flower parts.

I made a second card for the color challenge that I'll post next.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stuff I used: misc black card stock, and the following:
