Fabulous

Fabulous, as in the Fall weather that has finally replaced the sweltering humidity that defines the DC summers. Fabulous, as in how did I not see these fabulous papers before now?! And fabulous, because I found just the right sentiment for this card so I could finish it and reclaim space on my craft desk. :)

I was following this great sketch from The Sweetest Thing:

and I chose to look through my Basic Grey PB&J 6x6 paper pack. I'm very glad I did, too, because how did I miss this paper:

I love the blues and greens. In fact, I like them so much, I wanted them to be the star, so I opted to make the banner and doily out of the same cream color as the base. It did need a splash of color, though, so I used a piece of lace for some contrast.

I'm pretty happy with how this came out. I might have to keep this sketch around for a while, too. :)

I'm going back in for more. Thanks for stopping by!

Recipe
Stamps: Verve Bountiful Backgrounds
Paper: Basic Grey PB&J 6x6 pad, clearbags.com card bases (really)

  1. Love the floral paper - kinda retro, kinda modern. Very cool.
