SOS #91 - Tag It!

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another challenge at Shopping Our Stash. This week we ask you to use a tag on your project, or create a tag.

I knew immediately what I'd use on my card, and I'm very happy to say this is a true stash project. A while ago, at least a year or more, I purchased a stack of wooden tags. Why? I have no idea. I mean, I have craft wood and making a tag is sooo easy, so of course I bought some anyway. They have been languishing on my desk until now.

Here's my card, then I'll explain:

It's paint. I broke out my Distress paints to justify their purchase. I made about 4 versions of this tag and decided this one was my favorite of the bunch. I used three different colors of paint, then spritzed the tag with water to help them blend. Since I have a standing desk, they got real runny because of the angle, so by the time I got to this one I was smart enough to stick something under the bottom of the tag to stop the running and let it just dry.

You may notice it's shiny. That's because I still wasn't in love with it, and I spied my bottle of Goosebumps, which is supposed to add a shiny texture to the surface. It might have if I hadn't sprayed it on so thick. So yeah, I've waited most of the day for stuff to dry.

The XOXOX is a now-opened die from WPlus9. I cut three or four layers and glued them together, so it's almost as thick as the tag.

Okay, now it's YOUR turn. Go into your stash and find a tag, or make one instead. Then use it, post it, and come back to Shopping Our Stash and link us up so we can see what you've made!

Thanks for stopping by!
